Chail in the December (Winter) : In the winter, Chail is completely covered in thick, white snow. The area appears wonderful and immaculate, and there is a lovely view of distant, tall mountain peaks.

The first half of the month resembles November very closely. Further drops in temperature will bring the average down to 2°C minimum and 7°C maximum. The first snowfall in Shimla, Kufri, Chail, and Mashobra occurs after the twentieth of the month. Snowing before that is quite uncommon, at least not in Chail. Therefore, if snow was what you were after, make your plans for the end of December.
